CommentMembers of this protein family are L-aminoadipate-semialdehyde dehydrogenase (EC 1.2.1.31), product of the LYS2 gene. It is also called alpha-aminoadipate reductase. In fungi, lysine is synthesized via aminoadipate. Currently, all members of this family are fungal.
