CommentMembers of this protein family are BoxA, the A component of the BoxAB benzoyl-CoA oxygenase/reductase. This oxygen-requiring enzyme acts in an aerobic pathway of benzoate catabolism via coenzyme A ligation. BoxA is a homodimeric iron-sulphur-flavoprotein and acts as an NADPH-dependent reductase for BoxB.
