CommentPsbZ is a core protein of photosystem II in thylakoid-containing Cyanobacteria and plant chloroplasts. The original Chlamydomonas gene symbol, ycf9, is a synonym. PsbZ controls the interaction of the reaction center core with the light-harvesting antenna.
ReferencesRN [1] RM PMID: 11402165 RT The chloroplast gene ycf9 encodes a photosystem II (PSII) core subunit, PsbZ, that participates in PSII supramolecular architecture.
