Comment | This model represents DevS of Myxococcus xanthus and related proteins of Leptospira interrogans and Gemmata obscuriglobus. This protein is encoded in a cluster of CRISPR-associated (cas) genes, and in the special case of Myxococcus xanthus has taken on a role in the control of fruiting body development. CRISPRs are clustered, regularly interspaced short palidromic repeats. This protein family is related to models TIGR01868, TIGR01895, and TIGR01876. |
