Comment | This HMM represents a family of proteins in Gram-positive bacteria. The N-terminal region of about 200 amino acids resembles the epsilon subunit of E. coli DNA polymerase III and the homologous region of the Gram-positive type DNA polymerase III alpha subunit. The epsilon subunit contains an exonuclease domain. The remainder of this protein family resembles a predicted ATP-dependent helicase, the DNA damage-inducible protein DinG of E. coli. |
