CommentThis HMM represents glucokinase of E. coli and close homologs, mostly from other proteobacteria, presumed to have equivalent function. This glucokinase is more closely related to a number of uncharacterized paralogs than to the glucokinase glcK (fromerly yqgR) of Bacillus subtilis and its closest homologs, so the two sets are represented by separate models.
